Create a unique bond learning how to recognise and respond to your baby's toileting signals. The nappy free method, known as elimination communication or EC, is a way of 'tuning in' to baby in order to communicate about their bodily functions. Parents can work with babies' natural inclination not to soil or wet themselves, and help them become accustomed to using a potty from birth. For online information about EC, please visit: ![]() free support group that meets once a month at the Barracks Lane Community Garden. The workshop is a practical session where parents can observe their babies, often letting them lie, sit or crawl without a nappy. More mobile babies/toddlers may prefer to wear training pants or a cloth nappy without a cover. Parents can use the time to watch their baby for signals, and they can experiment with sitting them on, or holding them over, a potty, in a relaxed, supportive environment.
